Who can join?

All you need to join is to sign up to our mailing list.

Our ONLINE sessions are open to all LGBTQIA+ people aged 18-28.

Do I have to live in the UK to join?

No! We welcome all people from anywhere in the world. Just make sure you can adapt to the UK time zone.

Workshops are adapted so that you can join online without the need of specific materials. A pen and some paper is usually all you need.

Offline:

Wheelchair accessible venue with an accessible toilet.

Travel Support:

We also offer travel support for low income participants in the form of OYSTER card top ups and cab services. Email us queeryouthartcollective@gmail.com for more information

Material bursary

Anything you buy to support your practice can be reimbursed by our bursary fund up to £50. This can include materials, sketchbooks, reference books, tickets to see exhibitions, or costs for printing artwork. To find out more send us an email (please note: you will need to know your bank details and have the receipts for your purchases)

1 on 1 creative support:

You can request a 1 on 1 check in with our team of experienced facilitators. We are here to help you with anything from getting out of a creative block, to questions around pricing artwork. If you cannot attend Sundays you can also request a mid week check in with our staff.

Young Artist Commission:

Each term we offer 1-2 paid commissions for our members to host a workshop of their own. This is a perfect opportunity for those new to workshop facilitation. We will be there to help guide you.

To apply, simply email to say you’re interested. Feel free to send as much or as little of an idea as you have so far. All selection is done using a random lottery.

The artists’ fee of  £400 is the exact same rate as all our staff are paid.

Artist Reference Library:

We are building an online library with resources and tools for those unable to attend our Sunday sessions, or who missed a particular workshop. We also invite members to add their own resources and prompts to this.

Open door policy:

No booking is needed to attend Sunday sessions, and you only have to attend what you can and want to. All QYAC workshops are completely free.
